The 23-year-old became the first-ever Canadian to score in the Champions League knockout stages when he stunned the Santiago Bernabeu with a superb long-range strike in Wednesday's second-leg against Los Blancos in the semi-finals.
However, Davies and his Bayern teammates were left heartbroken after Real Madrid pulled off a miraculous comeback in the dying embers thanks to two late strikes from substitute Joselu, preventing the Bundesliga club from setting up an all-German final with Borussia Dortmund.
Davies has been a first-team regular throughout the campaign for Bayern, chipping in with two goals and five assists in 40 appearances across all competitions whilst operating predominantly as a left-back.
However, the former Vancouver Whitecaps youngster will soon be entering the final year of his contract at the Allianz Arena, and his long-term future at the club is believed to be uncertain.
Davies weighing up Bayern future?Earlier this year, Bayern director Max Eberl confirmed that an offer of a new contract has been tabled for Davies and he responded to rumours of Real Madrid's interest in the player.
«We sent Alphonso a very concrete, appreciative offer. At some point in life you have to say yes or no. Real Madrid hasn't contacted us,» Eberl told reporters in March.
As things stand, there have been no indications to suggest that Davies is keen to commit his future to the Bavarians, who are therefore at risk of losing the left-flanker for free in the summer of 2025, potentially forcing them to cash in on him this summer.
