Benjamin Sesko's agent drops biggest Arsenal transfer hint yet ahead of £43m Chelsea battle
The agent of Arsenal transfer target Benjamin Sesko has sparked excitement that the striker could be on his way to the Emirates Stadium in the summer.
Sesko, 20, has been linked with a move to the Premier League ahead of the summer after impressing in the Bundesliga with RB Leipzig. The striker has scored 15 times in his debut season in Germany and has netted in his last four games.
As well as interest from Arsenal, Chelsea are understood to be interested. Mauricio Pochettino's men are in desperate need of a new striker ahead of the new season after Christopher Nkunku's first season in England was hampered by injury.
According to reports,the Slovenia international has a £43million release clause in his contract at the Red Bull Arena which will become active in the summer. In comparison to the £100m+ transfer fees needed to sign Ivan Toney or Victor Osimhen, Sesko could be viewed as a bargain for the Gunners.
Kai Havertz has taken responsibility at centre-forward within Mikel Arteta's side in recent weeks. Since the 6-0 win over West Ham, the £65million signing has scored eight goals in 12 Premier League games, assisting a further five.
