Bukayo Saka has poked fun at Arsenal team-mate Gabriel Magalhaes after what happened during the win over Bournemouth. The Gunners picked up a huge three points on Saturday afternoon at Emirates Stadium as their Premier League title race against Manchester City took another twist.
Just hours after Mikel Arteta's side strode to victory, the reigning champions went one better with a 5-1 triumph over Wolves. Erling Haaland, on his return to the starting XI after a minor injury, scored four with Julian Alvarez also getting on the scoresheet.
The win for Pep Guardiola's side closed the gap back to just one point behind Arsenal with two weeks of the season left. However, the Gunners have one less game to play than their title rivals and therefore the advantage remains with Man City.
While Arsenal must still face Manchester United at Old Trafford and take on Everton at home, Man City face daunting trips to Tottenham and Fulham before the season concludes with the visit of West Ham. Even though City can achieve a higher points total, Arsenal hold one hidden advantage.
If both teams finish on the same tally, it is very likely the title would head to north London because of their superior goal difference. While it is entirely possible City could recover the six-goal gap, Arsenal will fancy their chances to maintain that, especially considering their impressive goal-scoring form in the last four months.
Since the turn of the year, Arsenal have scored 51 goals with many of those coming from set-pieces. Gabriel Magalhaes has played a key role in some of those and the Brazil international thought he had scored his fifth goal of the season.
