Callum Hudson-Odoi is ready to move to Italy and has agreed personal terms with Lazio, according to reports.
According to Sport Italia, Lazio are progressing well in negotiations with Chelsea and manager Maurizio Sarri is keen to work with the 22-year-old as soon as possible.
The Ghanaian midfielder is back with the Blues after a season-long loan with Bayern Leverkusen, where he played 21 games, scoring one goal against Atletico Madrid in Europe.
His arrival would be a huge plus for Sarri, who has wanted attacking reinforcements with a bid for Domenico Berardi failing.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the young Chelsea star could arrive in Serie A on loan with an obligation to buy for around £11.2million, including bonuses.
Mauricio Pochettino has no intention of keeping Hudson-Odoi in the first team picture at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea are planning to continue selling players who are not suited to the new manager's tactical ideas as they continue to trim the squad.
Having joined Chelsea in 2007 as a youngster, Hudson-Odoi's first-team debut came in 2017. He has made a total of 72 appearances, in London, scoring four goals.
According to Sport Italia, Fulham are also interested in the player but Chelsea would prefer to sell him abroad and Hudson-Odoi is keen to move to the Eternal City.
If the move is completed, Hudson-Odoi will be reuinited with Sarri after the wo worked together at Chelsea.
Sarri coached Hudson-Odoi in the 2018/2019 season, and, despite the player being only 18 years old at the time, Sarri gave him 24 appearances in all competitions and he showed plenty of confidence in his abilities.
