What happens next: Lucas Bergstrom, 20, looks unlikely to extend his stay at Chelsea beyond June 2024. The Finnish goalkeeper spent the first half of last season on loan at League One side Peterborough United. This season, he is yet to be sent out on loan but that could happen in the remaining stages of the transfer window.
Thiago Silva, ever since he has been at Chelsea, has worked on a yearly basis. At 38 years old, Silva is taking each season as it comes. The Brazilian defender showed on Sunday, though, that there is still plenty left in the tank, so an extension could be a possibility once again.
Meanwhile, Ian Maatsen has interest from West Ham United, football.london understands. However, the Dutchman has proved his worth somewhat to Mauricio Pochettino in recent weeks while playing in numerous different positions, so he would definitely be a useful one
