Crystal Palace full-back Daniel Munoz sparked fury among fans as he asked Erling Haaland to swap shirts at half-time during their match against Manchester City.

Munoz's move to secure Haaland's jersey as the whistle for the interval was blown left several Eagles supporters flabbergasted. The Colombian full-back traded jerseys with Haaland on their way to the dressing rooms at the historic Selhurst Park.

At this point, the spoils were still even in South London, thanks to a superb Kevin De Bruyne effort neutralising Jean-Philippe Mateta's opening salvo. However, Pep Guardiola's men turned up the heat post-break, sinking Palace 4-2, and drawing level with Liverpool at the Premier League summit.

The lopsided final score did little to absolve Munoz of his mid-match antics. Fans both at the stadium and those catching the game at home voiced their disapproval.

Even neutral spectators seemed irked by the occasion, reports the Mirror. One disgruntled fan wrote on social media: «Yeah don't like that at all. Will probably be after Foden's at full-time,» while another shared his disappointment saying: «Seeing that Munoz was signed less than 3 months ago from Genk, it's not a great first impression from the full-back.»

Some Manchester City fans did not take kindly to his actions. «Roy Keane won't like that,» joked one, while another wanted to hear the Irishman's take: «I only want to know what Roy Keane thinks about this?»
