Inter Miami owner and Manchester United icon David Beckham has urged the Glazer family to make a long-awaited decision on the sale of the Red Devils, urging the Americans to leave Old Trafford in the near future.
The sale process has now been ongoing for eight months, with the Glazers urging bidders to raise their offers time and time again in search of the best price. A £6bn valuation has been placed on the club.
Sir Jim Ratcliffe's INEOS outfit and Qatari Sheikh Jassim Bin Hamad Al Thani are both battling for the ownership of the club but the Glazers have not yet ruled out remaining at United going forward, creating the ultimate uncertainty around the future of the Red Devils.
Like most fans, Beckham pleaded for a conclusion to the ongoing saga as soon as possible.
«Off the field, as a fan and ex-player, I just want it resolved,» he told. «There has to be a decision.
»Whoever is running your club, you want them to be passionate, be involved, make the right decisions, bring in the right players and invest in the club. Because the club does need investment, whether it's the training facility, stadium, on the field… these kinds of big things need to be made and changes do need to happen, especially when you see the likes of Man City and what they're doing."

Asked whether his preferred conclusion would see the Glazers leave Old Trafford, Beckham continued: «I think so. I think it's purely because the fans want it. Once you lose the fans, especially at a club like Manchester United, it's hard to get them back.
