Liverpool forward Diogo Jota has posted an update on his return to fitness.
The Portugues forward has been sidelined with a knee injury since being stretchered off in Liverpool’s 4-1 win at Brentford in February. Jota has made positive steps in his rehabilitation, with manager Jurgen Klopp confirming that the forward could return against Atalanta on Thursday in the first leg of their Europa League quarter-final tie.
Before his injury, Jota was enjoying a productive season for the Reds, having registered 18 goal contributions in 28 games across all competitions. Ahead of Thursday’s game at Anfield, Jota hinted that a comeback is on the horizon.
