Dungannon Swifts' home Stangmore Park
Dungannon Swifts have urged their fans to send their best wishes and prayers to their Under-18 goalkeeper Samuel Francey after he suffered a “serious” head injury.
The shot-stopper sustained the injury in their game against Loughgall’s Under-18s on Monday night which required him to be rushed to hospital.
In a post on Facebook, Francey’s father Alan confirmed that his son was concussed by the incident and had received a brain scan, and was waiting to see a surgical doctor.
"Many thanks to everyone at Dungannon F.C. for all their help and especially to Gary Boyd his manager for his quick thinking and speedy actions,” wrote Alan.

The news comes the day after Northern Ireland goalkeeper Bailey Peacock-Farrell was raced to hospital following a terrifying collision during a Danish top flight match.
The 27-year-old Aarhus shot stopper crashed into the knee of Odense star Bashkim Kadrii in the 57th minute of the Superliga game.
A battered and bloodied Peacock-Farrell walked off the pitch with the help of the Aarhus medical staff, before he was raced to hospital where he spent the night.
The Burnley goalkeeper – who is on loan at Aarhus – suffered a broken nose and a laceration to the top of his head. The injuries are expected to rule former Leeds United man out of Northern Ireland’s upcoming friendly games against Scotland and Romania.
On Instagram, the goalkeeper posted: “Some stitches, broken nose and a little less hair on top. Perks of being a GK. Thanks for all the kind messages.”
