Emma Hayes to step down as Chelsea manager after 2023/24 season
Chelsea have confirmed that women's team manager Emma Hayes will step down from her role at the end of this season.
Hayes joined Chelsea in 2012 and has gone on to establish herself as one of the sport's most successful managers, winning six FA WSL titles, five Women’s FA Cups, two FA Women’s League Cups, one FA Women’s Spring Series trophy and one FA Women’s Community Shield.
A six-time WSL Manager of the Season winner, Hayes will depart Chelsea at the end of the current campaign, with the Blues confirming her next role will be away from the WSL and club football altogether.
understands Hayes is set to become the manager of the United States, who remain without a permanent boss after Vlatko Andonovski resigned in the aftermath of the 2023 Women's World Cup.
