Erik ten Hag has warned Manchester United players they will get "killed" if they allow standards at the club to regress.
Ten Hag has overseen an impressive improvement since United appointed him in April 2022, guiding the club to a first trophy in nearly six years with the League Cup, a third-place finish in the Premier League and progression to the FA Cup final.
United have effectively rebuilt their starting XI under Ten Hag through investing £406million in seven signings while the Dutchman has pushed for changes across the club's infrastructure.
Figures at the club constantly cite Ten Hag's attention to detail. Before United's final training session at the University of California San Diego on Saturday, Ten Hag adjusted the position of some mannequins for the goalkeepers' passing angles drill.

Ten Hag inherited a fractured squad but has moved on club legends Cristiano Ronaldo and David de Gea, while Harry Maguire was stripped of the captaincy earlier this month.
Alejandro Garnacho and Marcus Rashford were both punished for disciplinary breaches, with the former not involved in last year's pre-season tour of Thailand and Australia due to his attitude and Rashford was dropped for the New Year's Eve game at Wolves. Rashford came on at the interval to score the winner.
In a sit-down with English journalists at UCSD, Ten Hag outlined the issues he encountered when he first assessed the United squad.
"So I think in general when I came in at Man United, the standards were not right," Ten Hag said. "That’s true. I demand the highest standards in sleep, recovery and nutrition because that makes the difference if you can perform every third or fourth
