Erik ten Hag discusses Manchester United summer transfer plans

Erik ten Hag has promised Manchester United will make "new improvements" this summer after failing to invest in successive winter windows.

United have spent more than £400million under Ten Hag across two summer windows but only brought in loanees Jack Butland, Wout Weghorst and Marcel Sabitzer in January 2023 and there was not a single incoming in this season's winter window.

Ten Hag conceded the failure to qualify for the Champions League would impact United's budget. United are targeting three significant signings and are prepared to sell players they would rather keep in compliance with the Premier League's profitability and sustainability rules.

We have to make new improvements this summer. But there is a base in this squad that is very good and the injuries had a big impact on our season.
