McTominay was back from a two-game absence against Coventry City in the FA Cup on Sunday afternoon, while Rashford was again named in the starting side for the semi-final.
Both players were forced off during the extraordinary last-four encounter, though, with Rashford leaving the field in the final stages of normal time, before McTominay limped off in the first half of extra-time.
Speaking during his press conference on Tuesday, Ten Hag revealed that both McTominay and Rashford were unlikely to be available for selection against the Blades.
However, Alejandro Garnacho and Bruno Fernandes should be fit despite picking up issues in Man United's penalty-shootout success, which booked a final spot against Manchester City.
