Everton’s dramatic 3-2 win at Crystal Palace showed the players are buying in more and more to what Sean Dyche is trying to bring.
Dyche has been questioning these players because they do it in moments but it’s frustrating when they don’t do it enough and don’t believe in themselves.
As a team, I think we are now finding our way to win football games. We’ve played better this season and haven’t come away with any points, especially at home, so it’s a massive three points and a huge confidence booster for us.

The players look like they’re starting to believe in what Dyche is trying to educate them, especially at Finch Farm. Everyone has their own style and it does take time.
As much as you can believe what the manager is saying, it doesn’t really sink in until you start putting points on the table. Then you’re trusting in what he’s trying to bring.
We can talk about Dyche’s style but in that game we totally mixed it up and every goal was slightly different. For the first we were going long and pressing high but for the second we showed a bit of composure at the right time.
That winning goal though, was a great one-two and a smart finish. If Manchester City score a goal like that we’d all be talking about it for ages.
Yes it’s very forward and playing on the half-turn to force errors on the opposition but there are also times with game management and it’s stretched to find the pass. That’s what happened with the winner as Idrissa Gueye showed his hunger to get on the ball and we got the reward.
