Adidas has received mixed reviews from Manchester United supporters after next season's home, away and third shirts were supposedly leaked. The Red Devils have experimented with lots of different colours and designs over the years, with some proving to be more popular than others.
The club was founded in 1878 as Newton Heath LYR by the Carriage and Wagon department of the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway depot. They quickly became synonymous for their yellow and green stripe strip, with the colours now used on scarves to symbolise protest against the Glazer family.
Newton Heath was eventually renamed to Manchester United in the early 1900s, branding themselves with their famous red shirt. The Red Devils haven't looked back since, but they haven't forgotten their roots with various tributes to their history displayed through away and third shirts.
