Brazilians Fluminense face Egypt’s Al Ahly in the opening semi-final of the 2023 Club World Cup, with the winner going on to meet Manchester City or Urawa Reds in Friday’s trophy decider.
Fluminense, who booked their ticket to their first ever Club World Cup by securing a maiden South American title in November, qualified automatically for the last four.
Al Ahly, who are appearing at FIFA’s global club tournament for the ninth time, reached the semi-finals by beating Saudi Arabian hosts Al Ittihad 3-1 in the second round.
The 2023 FIFA Club World Cup semi-final between Fluminense and Al Ahly will be played at King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on Monday 18 December 2023. Kick-off is scheduled for 1:00pm ET/10:00am PT.
