Daniel Sturridge is reportedly set to make his way to the dancefloor for this year's Strictly Come Dancing.
The 33-year-old striker is currently without a club after he was released from Australian side Perth Glory last June.
Sturridge has not yet officially announced a retirement from football but is yet to play a game since April last year.
He has two Champions League titles to his name thanks to his success at both Chelsea and Liverpool, as well as one Premier League and two FA Cup winners' medals.
Fans remember him well for his iconic arm-wave celebration after scoring some of his 119 competitive goals.
It seems as though Sturridge is now ready to bring his moves onto a different stage as The Sun report he will be on the BBC's hit show.
“Daniel was a massive football star and had loads of personality on the pitch," a source told them.
“Fans use to love the dance he did after scoring a goal — so he showed Strictly bosses that he had rhythm.
“He hasn’t been able to play football for a while and his professional career has petered out.
“When the Strictly offer came he jumped at the chance to do something different and have some fun.
“Producers are always keen to get footballers on board. It encourages sports fans to tune into the show.”
Sturridge will be the latest footballer to appear on Strictly, with Arsenal legend Tony Adams featuring on last year's show.
Other stars including Peter Schmeichel, John Barnes and David James have all been previous contestants.
Sturridge may never have won the Ballon d'Or, but will now be setting his sights on the Glitterball Trophy later this year.
