Former Manchester United forward Giuseppe Rossi has announced his retirement from football at the age of 36.
Rossi signed for the Reds from Parma in 2004. Despite a couple of loan spells at Newcastle United and former club Parma, the striker would make 14 appearances for Sir Alex Ferguson's team, scoring on four occasions.
In 2007, Rossi would seal a permanent exit from United as he joined Villarreal. He would enjoy some of his best form in Spain, notching 32 goals in all competitions in the 2010/11 season.

After joining the likes of Levante, Fiorentina, Celta Vigo and Genoa, Rossi would spend a year at Real Salt Lake in the MLS before being released and seeing out his career at Italian side SPAL.
Taking to Instagram to announce his retirement, the striker wrote: "Today I announce my retirement from the beautiful game.
"It’s been an unforgettable journey! From running around the backyard as a kid with a ball at my feet and having my father as a coach, to playing at the highest level of football possible, in the most beautiful stadiums football can offer and playing with/against the best players and clubs in the world... I’m eternally grateful to have been a part of this game.
"My dreams came true. My life is fulfilled.
"All I ever wanted was to be the best player I could be. I dedicated every ounce of me, shed blood, sweat and tears for this game. I can leave the game peacefully, knowing I did all I can possibly do to achieve my goals.
