Former Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is keen on a return to Old Trafford should Erik ten Hag be sacked by Sir Jim Ratcliffe.
Pressure is growing on Ten Hag after an embarrassing 4-0 defeat to Crystal Palace on Monday night. MEN Sport understands Mourinho has told confidants that he would 'walk' to Manchester if it meant he could take on the job.
Mourinho is a friend of Ratcliffe however he is not expecting United to reach out to him to replace the Dutchman. Should he return to the Theatre of Dreams, Mourinho may be interested in bringing players to the club that he has previously worked with.

The Manchester Evening News has taken a look at four men who could follow Mourinho to Old Trafford if he was offered a return.
Current AS Roma centre-forward Abraham was brought to the club by Mourinho as he searched for more game time away from Chelsea. The 26-year-old has been linked to United in previous windows and the return of his former boss would make a move to Old Trafford more likely.
Abraham's campaign has been marred by a serious cruciate ligament injury which has kept him sidelined for most of the season. However, Mourinho would back himself to get the best out of Abraham in the Premier League where in his last campaign he scored 12 goals in all competitions for Chelsea.
United are desperate for a centre-back and Tomori would be an astute acquisition if possible. The 26-year-old has been a rock for AC Milan in Serie A and many hope he will be included in Gareth Southgate's squad for the European Championships this summer.
