Galatasaray hold talks with Man United over a potential move for Fred
Galatasaray have been talking to Manchester United regarding a deal for Fred.
As previously reported by Mail Sport, the Turkish club are keen to sign the wantaway midfielder this summer and are expected to table a follow-up offer.
Their undisclosed bid was turned down by United last month but with discussions continuing, a departure before the transfer deadline remains possible.
Fred, who recently changed his agency as he seeks an exit from Old Trafford, has entered the last year of his contract and is valued at around the £20million mark.
It is believed he has also been on the radar of Fulham and clubs in Saudi Arabia.
The 30-year-old joined United in 2018 for a fee of £52m and has made 213 appearances across all competitions to date, scoring 14 goals.
With United having strengthened their midfield with the arrival of Mason Mount from Chelsea, the club are open to several departures in the position.
Real Sociedad's move for Donny van de Beek is more advanced than Fred's potential switch to Turkey, however, and both players are firmly on the chopping block.
Meanwhile, United goalkeeper Nathan Bishop has sealed his move to Sunderland and agreed a three-year contract with the Championship outfit.
United expect to announce Rasmus Hojland's signing by the weekend after agreeing a fee with Atalanta and remain in contact with Fiorentina over Sofyan Amrabat.
