The game is the latest RPG by Bethesda, the developer behind the acclaimed Fallout 4 and The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim. It has been highly anticipated, with a demonstration of the game last month showcasing stunning graphics in the Milky Way Galaxy.
It has been claimed that the game will feature more than 100 star systems and 1,000 planets to explore. The story will revolve around a brutal war for territory in space, with players able to create their own character and battleships.

Now, anticipation has built further with the release of three animated shorts, labelled Starfield: The Settled Systems, which offer an intriguing sneak peek at some major city centres in the game. The stories follow a delivery pilot in New Atlantis, seeking the exciting life of the elite, a stranded orphan in Akila City and two street rats battling for survival in Neon respectively.
The captivating stories and stunning visuals have excited gamers ahead of Starfield’s release, with intriguing futuristic locations and captivating stories. One player on Twitter said: “This is cool, and just adds to the hype.” Another added: “Mind blown.” A third fan said: “They are all beautifully done.”
These shorts could reassure those who were worried that Starfiled would not live up to its high expectations. CEO of Xbox Game Studios Phil Spencer announced that the game will be restricted to 30 frames per second (FPS) on the Xbox Series X/S.
Higher frame rates can result in smoother gameplay and less stuttering. Restricting it to 30 FPS led some to claim the game would be “unplayable”.
