The USMNT suffered a painful loss on Saturday while playing Germany in a friendly match at Pratt & Whitney Stadium at Rentschler Field in Connecticut, where the German team came from behind after a great goal by Christian Pulisic, but could not hold the lead and lost the game in the second half.
After the match, U.S. coach Gregg Berhalter acknowledged the substantial improvement of his opponent, who was coming from three consecutive defeats, including a humiliating home defeat against Japan, which cost Hansi Flick his job.
Thetactician was grateful for the opportunity to play against such opponents, as they helped his own team's development, just in Julian Nagelsmann's first game in charge of the German team: «The tactical flexibility Germany showed today was challenging… We played a good first half but conceded goals too easily,» Berhalter acknowledged.
