Harry Kane nets first Bayern Munich hat-trick in 7-0 drubbing
Bochum never stood a chance in Saturday's rout
Bayern Munich may have allowed questions to arise over their defensive structure after shipping three goals to Manchester United on Wednesday, however they showed once more their attacking prowess in a 7-0 shellacking of Bochum.
Harry Kane scored his first hat-trick in the Bavarian club's colors, with only one of the goals coming from the penalty spot, whilst Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting, Matthijs de Ligt, Leroy Sane and Mathus Tel all added to the scoreline.
It was an afternoon to forget for the visitors who fell behind as early as the fourth minute of play when Choupo-Moting put the hosts in front with a simple tap-in after a fine cutback from Kingsley Coman.
1-0 became 2-0 less than 10 minutes later as some fantastic work from Alphonso Davies allowed Kane to get a free shot inside the penalty area and he made no mistake.
In his first Bundesliga start of the campaign, Matthijs de Ligt headed home to make it 3-0 and secure the victory on the half-hour mark, leaving Bochum facing a demolition job.
Kane turned provider for Bayern Munich's fourth goal, providing an assist for Leroy Sane with a beautiful through-ball, the kind Tottenham Hotspur fans enjoyed with regularity last term.
Sane stroked in a curled shot into the bottom of the net to ensure the hosts went into the break 4-0 to the good.
The second-half began in much the same manner the first ended. A penalty was awarded to the Bavarians and Kane converted it with ease, burying his shot into the corner after sending the goalkeeper the wrong way.
