Reds manager Jurgen Klopp spent time with supporter Sean Cox, who returned to Anfield to watch Liverpool beat Brighton on Sunday afternoon.
The dad-of-three suffered brain injuries as a result of an unprovoked attack outside Anfield ahead of the club's 2017/18 Champions League semi-final first leg against AS Roma. Sean initially fought for his life and has since undertaken rehabilitation - including learning how to walk again - whilst receiving ongoing care from his wife, Martina, and family.
He has returned to Anfield to watch the Reds live since the attack, interacting with the likes of Klopp, Virgil van Dijk and Sir Kenny Dalglish. Now after travelling from the Republic of Ireland again, he and his family's latest choice of match to attend was spot on, as they witnessed Luis Diaz and Mohamed Salah fire Liverpool back to the top of the Premier League.

After the final whistle, Sean was given the opportunity to meet Klopp again in the tunnel at Anfield. In footage released by the club, the Reds manager was visibly joyous with the encounter.
Clapping with a giant smile on his face, the German made his way over to Sean and went in for a hug. "He's actually going to stand for you," Martina told the soon-to-be departing coach. "This is for you."
Aided by his family, Sean stood up and shared a heartfelt embrace with Klopp, who could only respond with one word - "Unbelievable".
"So happy to see you," Klopp added as he bid farewell to Sean and his family. Reacting on social media, fellow Reds showed their support for Sean and shared tributes to the manager's kind act.
