Heung-min Son's lethal run in front of goal continued as Tottenham secured a 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace.
The South Korean star scored his eighth of the season so far to put Spurs firmly in control, following an unconvincing start to the game.
While Ange Postecoglou's side dominated possession, it was Palace who had the bulk of the opportunities, with Spurs not having a shot on target until Son's strike midway through the second half.
However Tottenham did take a lead early in the second period as some fine work from James Maddison led to Joel Ward sending the ball into the back of his own net.
Then it was Son's turn, however, credit must go to Brennan Johnson and Maddison who combined wonderfully to tee him up.
Johnson had just come on as a sub, but nodded the ball into Maddison's path, before some fine football saw the ex-Leicester man find Johnson in the penalty area.
The ball was then squared to Son who slammed home for his eighth goal of the season, a strike that puts him just two behind his total tally from last term.
Jordan Ayew did grab a late consolation with a wonderful volleyed effort, but it wasn't enough as Spurs ran out as 2-1 winners.
Victory for Tottenham meant that they extended their lead to five points at the top of the Premier League.
They might not have been at their stunning best, but Postecoglou won't mind one bit.
