Hickory's Smokehouse West Kirby has closed its doors to undergo a "refresh".
The restaurant serves up the authentic taste of the Deep South with mouthwatering classics including BBQ ribs, maple pancakes and stacked burgers. Hickory's has spots in Southport and Chester but those nearby its West Kirby branch will have to travel elsewhere for now.
The restaurant has temporarily closed its doors while it undergoes a much-needed "refresh" after 10 long years.

Hickory's thanked customers for their support before sharing several images online teasing new interiors. Ripped-up floors, walls, and bar area were shown alongside a brief caption, "Out with the old."
Foodies won't have to wait long for the restaurant's return as Hickorys promised a comeback before the end of the month.
Hickorys said: "We will be back open & smokin' at 3pm on Tuesday 23rd January! We can't wait to welcome you all back then, Tom & the team x."
