Paris Saint-Germain will head to Catalunya with hope next week, despite a 3-2 defeat to Barcelona in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League quarter-final. PSG themselves have been on the receiving end of a remontada, the most iconic one in the history of Europe’s most prestigious club competition. They now have to pull off one of their own.
Les Parisiens came off worse for wear in a topsy-turvy tie at the Parc des Princes on Wendesday. The Catalan club took the lead through Raphinha but two quickfire goals from Ousmane Dembélé and Vitinha turned the game on its head early in the second half. However, a poor performance from Gianluigi Donnarumma gave Barcelona a route back into the tie.
