Nathalie Bjorn and Katrine Veje have been among the most impressive of Everton's performers at the Women’s World Cup, with both shining in recent days along with goalkeeper Courtney Brosnan.
Seven players from Brian Sorensen's side are in Australia and New Zealand for the tournament, so let’s take stock and see how they are faring.
Sweden
Toffees star Nathalie Bjorn played the full 90 minutes as Amanda Ilestedt's double fired Sweden to a 5-0 victory over Italy in their second match of the Women's World Cup.
Bjorn enjoyed a strong performance at right-back, helping her side keep a clean sheet, while Fridolina Rolfo, Stina Blackstenius and Rebecka Blomqvist each found the back of the net to add to Ilestedt’s double.
Bjorn’s Everton teammate Hanna Bennison watched on from the bench as Sweden recorded their second-biggest victory in the tournament's history.
Denmark
Katrine Veje and Karen Holmgaard both started as Denmark fell to a 1-0 loss to England in Group D.
After Lauren James gave England an early lead, Denmark rallied in the second half, with Amalie Vansgaard's header hitting the crossbar for their best chance of the game.
Holmgaard played 88 minutes in Sydney whilst Veje impressed over the full 90 minutes, forcing Earps into an impressive save in the second half as the Danes searched in vain for a leveller.
Netherlands
Katja Snoeijs was in the starting line-up for the Dutch, who took the lead through a player Snoeijs is likely to come up against next season – new Manchester City signing Jill Roord.
The lead was soon cancelled out by USA captain Lindsey Horan with an excellent header in the second half but Netherlands held on for an excellent point, with Snoeijs making way for Damaris Egurrola in the 71st minute.
