Barcelona star Ousmane Dembele looks set to complete a transfer to Paris Saint-Germain, according to recent reports.
French outlet RMC Sport have claimed that PSG are set to activate Dembele's release clause, which is said to stand at just €50million (£43million), a price that will double if not activated before the end of July. The 26-year-old's imminent move to the Parc des Princes comes as a surprise to many and could even impact Arsenal 's transfer plans.
The Gunners have been linked with two other Barcelona forwards in the form of Raphinha and Ferran Torres in recent times. Mikel Arteta was keen on a deal to sign Raphinha from Leeds United last summer whilst Torres has consistently been mooted as a potential target for the last two years.
Considering Dembele is already set to depart the Camp Nou, it now seems unlikely that the Catalan giants will also let another one of their best wingers leave this summer. Torres himself confirmed that he wants to stay with Xavi's side and fight for his place during a recent interview with Sport.
«It’s very important for a striker to start scoring, to get off to a good start. I’m going to fight for a place in the team,» the former Manchester City forward said. «And then it is up to the coach to decide [my future].»
