Jurrien Timber is set to make his first appearance for Arsenal in eight months as he travels with the Under-21s to Blackburn Rovers for a Premier League 2 clash on Monday. The Dutchman has been out of action since August with a damaging knee injury.
He has been in partial team training with the Gunners for a while now but is yet to be deemed ready for selection in competitive action. Getting to that stage was described by Mikel Arteta as being 'the final step'. Now, with his senior teammates preparing to take on Chelsea at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday, Timber is readying up for a game of his own.
football.london can confirm that the 22-year-old will be with the squad under Mehmet Ali. His side are looking to finish the season well and could move up to fourth with a win if results go their way.
Here's how you can watch the game.
The game will be broadcast live on Arsenal.com on Monday, April 22. Kick-off is at 7pm with coverage of the game starting five minutes prior.
It is free to watch and can be streamed via desktop or on the official club app.
