Former Liverpool defender Stephen Warnock has explained why he doesn't get a free Sky Sports subscription despite working for them.
The sports broadcasting giant employs numerous well-known personalities to enhance their coverage of both the Premier League and Football League, featuring them across matchdays and on their round-the-clock news channel.

However, not all pundits who appear on Sky Sports enjoy the same contractual benefits, including Warnock.

The 42-year-old, who started his career with the Reds, moved into media work following his retirement from professional football in 2018. He has since contributed to various networks including the BBC, TNT Sports, DAZN, and NBC.
Due to his non-contractual status with Sky, Warnock does not receive the perks, such as a paid TV and broadband package, that some of his peers do. He clarified this point during an appearance on the Undr The Cosh podcast, where co-host Jon Parkin inquired about his subscription status, reports the Mirror.
Warnock's response was clear: "No! Because I work for them, I'm on a non-contract. But if you're on a contract, which is like a Carragher or a Neville, you'll get all the perks and things like that. So no, I have to pay full whack."
