I bagged Susanna Reid's red dress £25 cheaper in River Island sale ahead of Black Friday

Good Morning Britain’s Susanna Reid looked glam as she presented the breakfast show in a budget-friendly high street dress this morning (November 15).

The striking Red Chiffon Tie Front Swing Midi Dress, from River Island, is the perfect colour for the upcoming Christmas party season - and it’s been reduced in time for Black Friday, too.

The floaty number has been slashed from £55 to £30, saving shoppers £25 on the outfit that’s in the retailer’s ‘colour of the season'. According to the brand, red looks great when worn with black and denim, while grey also offers a 'less stark contrast’. The shade worn head-to-toe provides the perfect opportunity to make a style statement, like Susanna, while a ‘pop of red’ is also a major trend for 2023.

The chiffon number is available in sizes 6-18, and has gained popularity among fashion enthusiasts, with a few sizes already sold out.

The dress comes in a midi length with fluted sleeves and a v-neckline that has a tie neck that can be worn in a number of ways. The mum-of-three opted to wear the pussy bow tied loosely at the chest, donning her recently chopped bob.

I headed in store to scout out the latest trends and top fashion picks back in October and this dress was high on my list of favourites. Leaning into the red trend, this flattering, floaty number is the ultimate festive number, date night dress for Valentine's, or for days when you just want to feel really confident. The tie detail can be worn more like a scarf and just hang in a laidback way, or tied into a pussy bow to give it a more 70s feel.
