Jamie Carragher urged Casemiro to 'call it a day at this level of football' after his shocking performance in Manchester United's 4-0 defeat at Crystal Palace.
Casemiro was directly at fault for one of Palace's four goals and turned in a terrible display at the heart of United's defence, filling in at centre-back again due to their injury crisis.
Though an impressive performer for the most part during his debut 2022/23 campaign at Old Trafford, the Brazilian's form has fallen off a cliff this season.
During ' Monday Night Football coverage of United's latest loss, former Liverpool defender Carragher delivered a scathing criticism of Casemiro.
«I said at half-time he [Erik ten Hag] has got to bring Casemiro off, I know he's got kids on the bench,» Carragher began. «But I think Casemiro, deadly serious, should know tonight as an experienced player that he should only have another three games left at the top level, the next two league games and the cup final, and then he should be thinking, 'I need to go to the MLS or Saudi'.
»I'm deadly serious. His agent, the team of people around him, they need to tell him, 'this has to stop'.
