Legendary kit man Jimmy Martin has recalled the time he left the Everton dressing room speechless after demanding Samuel Eto'o pick up after himself.
Martin, who announced his retirement after over 30 years of services earlier this year, served as the Blues' kit man for 23 years after initially being appointed as the club's coach driver during Howard Kendall's first spell at Goodison Park.
During his time at Everton, Martin worked with figures such as Kendall, Walter Smith, David Moyes and more recently four-time Champions League winner Carlo Ancelotti.
In recounting his illustrious Goodison Park career, Martin recalled an infamous exchange with Eto'o just months after he joined the Blues from Chelsea. Although the Cameroonian was long past his best by the time he arrived on Merseyside, Martin was quick to remind the two-time Champions League winner of the etiquette that is required across all levels at Goodison Park.

"I remember one time we were playing away in the Europa League and someone had just left all of their dirty gear in the showers, so I had a look it and it was number five - it was Samuel Eto'o, who hadn't been with us long," remembered Martin, speaking to the official Everton websit e.
"I brought them out and we have a bin in the middle of the changing rooms for the kit and I went, 'Samuel, I don't care where you've played - Barcelona, Chelsea... you're at Everton now - and you don't do this.
