The concept of romance in Ghost of Tsushima might be the most hotly debated topic in this entire fandom. There are scenes scattered throughout the game that could be considered something romantic, with one or two in particular standing out as the most interesting. As far as a mechanic that builds towards love in Sucker Punch’s open-world adventure, that might leave fans disappointed.
However, what these scenes do set up is the potential for romance in a sequel, should Ghost of Tsushima 2 ever get announced. This game doesn’t feature a specific romance mechanic, unfortunately, but here is what we do know about love as it pertains to Jin Sakai.

Sorry to say, but there is no romance option or mechanic in Ghost of Tsushima. It’s something that some fans are incredibly delighted about - glad that the game is focused on Jin’s mission to destroy the Mongols. On the other hand, some think there were wasted opportunities with two characters: Yuna and Tomoe.
There were fleeting moments between Yuna and Jin throughout the game, with the samurai even remarking while sitting in a Hot Spring about how he missed “the touch of a woman”. Or at least, you have the option to consider that.

You certainly don’t have to. However, during the late-game mission, Eternal Blue Sky, you have the option to have a one-on-one chat with Yuna. During this conversation, they reminisce, but Yuna drops this line:
While she admitted she didn’t really want that, knowing Jin’s dedication to fighting off the Mongols, it is a line that could lead to romance in a future Ghost of Tsushima game. This is as close to real romance as the game
