Jamie Carragher has explained why Liverpool may have decisions to make over the futures of Darwin Nunez and Mohamed Salah.
Wednesday night saw the Reds suffer a 2-0 defeat to Everton in the Merseyside derby. The result dealt a major blow to Liverpool's chances of winning the Premier League in the title race against Manchester City and Arsenal.
Nunez had one chance in the first half to get Liverpool on the score sheet, but he directed his effort straight at Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford. Salah endured a quiet evening in front of goal, and that has led to Carragher raising questions about the duo.
Carragher was critical of Nunez for the chance he missed to get Liverpool back in the game, with the scoreline 1-0 to Everton at the time. The Reds legend went on to express concern over Salah's form in recent weeks.
"The chance that Nunez misses before half-time, that is unforgivable at this level," Carragher told Sky Sports after the full-time whistle. "That is not acceptable at this level, certainly when Liverpool are going for the title.

"I actually thought at the start of the second half, Liverpool were in control of the game and I thought a goal was coming. I thought if Liverpool scored one, they would go and get two.
"I thought they started the second half really well and then Mo Salah gave the ball away and Liverpool should defend the corner a lot better again, but Mo Salah gave the ball away and he has looked a shadow of his former self for a lot of this season, especially since he has come back from injury.
