Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has delivered the latest on the club's search for more midfielders which may affect Arsenal and Chelsea
Jurgen Klopp has made a huge admission regarding Liverpool's midfield transfer plans which could impact Arsenal and Chelsea. The Reds have already welcomed Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai to Anfield this summer and look set to make further additions in their engine room with Fabinho looking likely to join Jordan Henderson in sealing a transfer to Saudi Arabia.
“It's definitely important to strengthen in midfield. We have to do something, that is clear," Klopp admitted on Saturday. “We are working on solutions. First people want changes, now everyone is worrying about the changes. We are really optimistic about it. Excited as well."
Links to Manu Kone and Khephren Thuram have gone quiet which could see Liverpool act on their long-standing interest in Kudus. The Ajax star is also being targeted by Arsenal and Chelsea and the Dutch giants are open to selling Kudus for an offer in the region of £40million.
A Premier League switch looks very likely for the Ghana international especially as he was also identified as an alternative to Mason Mount by Liverpool. The former Chelsea midfielder ended up completing a £60million move to Manchester United potentially leading Liverpool down the path of their alternative.
Interest from Liverpool dates back to last year with transfer guru Fabrizio Romano revealing scouts had been sent by Klopp to see Kudus in action. Ajax and Liverpool have also faced off on numerous occasions in the Champions League over the last few seasons with Klopp able to watch his versatility live in the flesh.
