Keane says he was 'sat at home cringing' when Reds celebrated a 2-2 draw

Roy Keane has revealed that he was 'sat at home cringing' when Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool side celebrated a 2-2 draw with West Brom in 2015 during a viral moment.

The Reds hosted West Brom having won three, drawn two and lost two of their opening Premier League matches under Klopp.

Jordan Henderson opened the scoring before Craig Dawson and Jonas Olsson put West Brom ahead. A late Divock Origi equaliser saw Anfield explode before Klopp celebrated with his side.

Grabbing each other by the hand, the Liverpool squad celebrated in front of their home fans in a moment which Keane has now admitted made him cringe.

He said: '[That game vs] West Brom, they drew and he's got them all cheering and holding hands at the end. I was at home cringing going what's this guy up to?

'But he knew what he as doing. He's a smart cookie.'

Keane continued to discuss Klopp's management style and was about the German's famous man management style.

Former Liverpool star Daniel Sturridge posed the question to the Man United legend as he asked him if he was a fan of Klopp's post-match hugs.

'At the end of the season if you win something [I'd have one], he said. 'I wouldn't be critical of him. Everyone's different and that's his personality. That's what he's brought to the football club. I won't be critical of that, far from it.

'I think if you win something at the end of the season. sure hugs for everybody but week in week out... That's his style of management and it's obviously worked for him.'

Keane continued to compare Klopp's management style to that of Sir Alex Ferguson, revealing that the Man Utd legend would never hug his players.
