With Kaizer Chiefs’ longest serving player Itumeleng Khune set for a stunning return to action, he may be returning as the best version of himself after his setback.
The Soweto giants confirmed that the goalkeeper has re-joined the team after being suspended during December last year due to disciplinary discrepancies.

According to the club, the time off afforded him "an opportunity to complete a corrective programme designed for him to meet set expectations for a professional athlete."
"Upon completion of the programme, a report from an independent body of professionals was received and shared with the technical team to demonstrate that he had done all that was required," the side said in a statement.
The statement added that Khune said he participated in the programmes set out for him and believes they assisted with his personal growth and development as both a professional athlete as well as an individual.
From the outside perspective it also seems as if it were a three-month period well spent as the South Africa international was seen engaging in activities that is sure to benefit him in the short and long term.
He regularly updated his social media pages with videos and images of him putting in the hard yards, working hard in the gym to keep fit and prepare himself for the long-awaited comeback.
