Klopp issues brutal warning to Man Utd after draw

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has issued a brutal warning to Manchester United after the two teams played out to a 2-2 draw on Sunday.

The Reds had to settle for a point at Old Trafford as a late penalty by Mohamed Salah spared the Premier League title challengers' blushes.

Despite the scoreline, the visitors dominated proceedings, registering 62% ball possession and taking 28 shots at goal, the most United have faced at the Theatre of Dreams since the 2003/04 campaign, when records of this statistic began.

Understandably, Klopp felt his side could have got more than a point from the match as they now sit second on the Premier League table, equal on points with leaders Arsenal but behind on goal difference.

With the Gunners set to take on United in May, Klopp has issued a stern warning that Erik ten Hag's side will be beaten by the north London giants if they play the way they did against Liverpool on Sunday, according to Metro.

Asked if he will be cheering on United when Arsenal visit Old Trafford in May, Klopp replied: "Probably, if we are still around [in the EPL title race], then that would be great. Yeah, probably.

"But Arsenal are a good football team, and if they [United] play like today, Arsenal will win that game, I'm 100% sure.

"I'm really sorry to say that, but this is a matter of fact.

"We should have won both games [including last month's FA Cup tie] and didn't, that's our fault.

"Until yesterday, we were top of the table and now it's Arsenal and, I don’t know, maybe it will be somebody else. We want to be there after the last matchday.
