Kylian Mbappe provides answer to £259m Al Hilal transfer offer amid Arsenal and Chelsea links
Kylian Mbappe has chosen to not enter talks with Al Hilal over a possible summer transfer. Paris Saint-Germain accepted the world record proposal put forward from the Middle East worth €300million (£259million) earlier this week with it then up to Mbappe whether he signs or not.
The first comment made by the France international on the lucrative offer from Saudi Arabia came on Monday with his reply to Basketball star Giannis Antetokounmpo. Mbappe has now made the decision to refuse to enter any talks with Al Hilal, according to a report from L’Equipe.
The Premier League has been linked as an eventual destination for the 24-year-old, despite it appearing likely a transfer to Real Madrid is on the cards in the future. Chelsea were perhaps the club to show the strongest interest with a report from RMC journalist Fabrice Hawkins revealing the Blues were exploring the feasibility of signing Mbappe.
With his name a trending topic, Mauricio Pochettino was asked about the possibility of Chelsea signing Mbappe or his PSG team-mate Neymar. «I think in our past we were at Paris Saint Germain and with Kylian and think I need to be conscious that I cannot talk,» Pochettino, who managed Mbappe in the French capital, said on Tuesday.
«Everything you talk is too much noise. It is a situation that is very delicate and one they need to fix in Paris with Kylian. For our side I have nothing to say. We are working on our reality, our reality is different. From my side, nothing to say, only to supporter them.
»I hope they find a solution for both sides. It is a club that I love, because I was a player, a captain and coach. With Kylian we create a very good relationship, I hope they can find the best solution for both sides."
