Larne goalkeeper Rohan Ferguson says his side’s European adventure is not over despite a heavy 3-0 loss to Ballkani in the first leg of their Europa Conference League Second Qualifying Round tie.
Goals from Albion Rrahmani, Almir Kryeziu and Nazmi Gripshi helped put the Kosovo champions in a commanding position ahead of next week’s second leg at Solitude.
The Irish Premiership holders struggled to contain their opponents in humid conditions in Pristina but an early goal in north Belfast would give Tiernan Lynch’s side hope.

A few impressive saves from Ferguson prevented the tie from being totally killed off but there is no doubt Larne have a mountain to climb.
Ferguson, however, feels the Invermen still believe it is mission possible.
“The tie can change, goals change games and if we get one back there then you never know what can happen,” said the Scot after the match.
“You saw the Helsinki game, we got one back and were able to put them under pressure.
“The tie is certainly not over, that’s for sure.”
Ferguson is disappointed not just with the result but with the performance; a below-par one by Larne’s standards.
“I think we just let ourselves down,” he added. “The boys are really disappointed, but it’s a big learning curve and that’s what happens at this stage... if you don’t play well, you get punished.
