SHELBOURNE consolidated their leadership of the Premier Division thanks to last gasp share of the spoils against Derry City at the Brandywell.
And it was a super sub, Sean Boyd who was hailed the hero when he guided a low Will Jarvis cross into the Derry net much to the delight of the small contingent of Tolka Park supporters.
The equaliser stunned the home faithful but, in fairness, Damien Duff's men refused to surrender to record his side's fourth consecutive share of the spoils with the Candystripes.
With the sides fully aware of the early kick-off results, both failed to take advantage but, in the end, they will be happy not to have lost.
With Brian Maher making his 100th appearance for Derry City, the keeper was never extended during the opening period.
That said, visiting custodian Conor Kearns was not seriously tested either with both sides enjoying decent spells of possession but both failed to penetrate.
