Tottenham Hotspur welcomed back their international stars with no major injury concerns meaning Ange Postecoglou will have his best available squad available for the visit of Sheffield United on Saturday.
However, Spurs were handed a number of brief scares throughout the first international break of the season involving Son Heung-min and Cristian Romero. Son was spotted walking with heavy strapping and an ice pack on his knee while on duty with South Korea.
The injury is believed to have been picked up during a training drill at the Newcastle based training camp, although all concerns were squashed when he was named in the starting XI in the 1-0 win over Saudi Arabia.
With Romero, fears emerged over a potential injury when reports in South America suggested he had picked up a knock in the 1-0 win over Ecuador. The Argentine trained ahead of the trip to Bolivia before playing the entirety of the 3-0 win on Tuesday night.
Another key player who has been central to Postecoglou's start to life in England is James Maddison. The 26-year-old has started on fire in midfield to earn himself a place in England's XI against Ukraine on Saturday. Maddison came away from the European Championship qualifier unscathed and is expected to return to Hotspur Way ready for Saturday having been rested in the 3-1 win over Scotland.
One player whose availability is unclear isHugo Lloris. The former captain, who had publicly declared his desire for a new challenge, has not featured under Postecoglou but was registered in the north Londoners' Premier League 25-man squad.
