Leeds United drop giant Chelsea transfer hint with brutal Tyler Adams decision amid $24m clause

Leeds have dropped a major hint that star midfielder Tyler Adams could be on his way out this summer as Chelsea continue to prepare a bid for the USMNT star.

Adams, who only joined the club last summer in a deal taking him from RB Leipzig to the Premier League, was part of the squad that was relegated from the top flight, missing the last stretch of matches with injury.

As a key player for both club and country, the 24-year-old is in-demand this window heading into the final three weeks without securing a move away.

Leeds have largely loaned out their biggest stars from last year in the hope of gaining promotion back to the Premier League and rebuilding the squad from there, but Adams has so far remained.

He is currently injured and missed the opening day draw with Cardiff at Elland Road under Daniel Farke. He did attend the game in Yorkshire, though.

Chelsea are certainly one of those sides after selling or releasing six first team players in the position over the past two months and January combined. They have so far struggled to make hay with signing Brighton's Moises Caicedo and Adams has emerged as a cheap candidate to come in.
