The objective is clear for the rest of the season for Franck Haise’s RC Lens, they have to secure European football. Already they’ve put themselves in a good position sitting in sixth with seven games remaining, and a visit from Le Havre AC comes at a good time, with the strugglers in poor form and a point above the relegation playoff spot.
Haise has picked a much-rotated side from the one that lost the Derby du Nord to Lille OSC last weekend, with Elye Wahi returning to lead the line and displacing Wesley Saïd from the front. In midfield, Salis Abdul Samed loses his role with the impressive Andy Diouf partnering with Neil El Aynaoui.
On the right, Haise goes with Ruben Aguilar as his wing-back over Jhoanner Chávez who according to L’Équipe does not make the coach’s bench, while rounding off the changes will be Jonathan Gradit who takes Aguilar’s role as the right-sided centre-back.
Brice Samba; Facundo Medina, Kevin Danso, Jonathan Gradit; Przemysław Frankowski, Andy Diouf, Neil El Aynaoui, Ruben Aguilar; David Pereira da Costa, Elye Wahi, Florian Sotoca. (L’Éq)
