The final day of a summer music festival will support a vital Liverpool cause.
It was announced in February that Liverpool Celebrates would be coming to the waterfront this summer, acting as a successor to the Mathew Street music festival. This will take place at the Pier Head, which will be transformed into a concert venue, as opposed to being spread all over the city centre as was previously the case.
Each day of the event will consist of a different theme. This will celebrate all eras and genres of music, from Liverpool legends and local talent, international stars and tribute acts.

On the final day of Liverpool Celebrates, there will be the Cavern Club Takeover, described as a "celebration of artists who have performed at the original festival over the decades." This will include Dios Salve A La Reina, the legendary Queen tribute band, as well as tributes to The Beatles, Elton John, The Who and Adele.
Now, the festival organisers have announced the final day will carry an important theme. The family day partnership will welcome families on Monday August 26 to aid a complete refurbishment at Ronald McDonald House Alder Hey.
Ronald McDonald House, known as MacHouse, provides free accommodation to families with critically ill children in hospital. Ronald McDonald House Alder Hey is more than 30 years old and requires an urgent, major refurbishment to improve family support and ensure the long-term future of the accommodation.
