Liverpool fighter gears up for only non-heavyweight bout on Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou card

It has been officially announced that Jack ‘The Pilgrim’ McGann will feature on the upcoming card in Saudi Arabia on October 28^th.

Branded as the 'battle of the baddest', the main event is an exhibition bout between heavyweight champion Tyson Fury and former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou.

Continuing their pursuit into the sporting world, Saudi Arabia is heavily pushing with the promotion of this event, recently announcing an all-heavyweight undercard.

The announced bouts include Fabio Wardley vs David Adeleye, Joseph Parker vs Simon Kean, Martin Bakole vs Carlos Takam, Arslanbek Makhmudov vs Agron Smakici and Moses Itauma vs TBC.

However, McGann is set to face Roberto Duran Jr - son of the boxing legend - in a super welterweight clash, making it the only non-heavyweight bout on the bill.

McGann is on the rise in boxing after winning his first title and is also an ex-MMA fighter, which holds similarities to the main event with Ngannou switching to boxing.

Moreover, he is facing a name that should grab the attention of all boxing fans in Duran Jr. There also won’t be an absence of punching power either, with five of McGann’s eight wins coming by way of knockout and Duran will be looking to live up to his father’s nickname, Manos de Piedra ("Hands of Stone").
