Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino has ruled out any possible sale for defender Levi Colwill amid interest from Liverpool.
The 20-year-old centre-back has admirers at Anfield and has been linked with a switch to Jurgen Klopp's side. Colwill enjoyed a first Premier League campaign with Brighton & Hove Albion last season as the Seagulls secured European qualification.
Liverpool's current central defensive options are ageing with Virgil van Dijk and Joel Matip in their 30s. Colwill was named among the potential options to bolster their ranks after fitting the profile of a left-sided defender.
The Chelsea defender was a part of the England U21s side, which featured Curtis Jones and Harvey Elliott, which won the European Championships in Georgia and Romania this month. Already, the Londoners have rejected approaches from Brighton as they looked to tie down Colwill permanently.

Chelsea's pre-season tour in America was billed as an important period in Colwill's career at Stamford Bridge with the defender looking to play his way into Pochettino's plans.
A subsequent injury to Wesley Fofana has seemingly opened the door for the England defender and he started for the Londoners against his former club in Philadelphia.
