Luis Diaz has been left out of the Liverpool squad for their Carabao Cup clash with Bournemouth.
The Colombian star has not travelled with the Reds squad as continues to wait for the release of his father.
Both of Diaz's parents were kidnapped by four armed men in Colombia last week in a harrowing experience for the talented winger.
While his mother, Cilenis Marulanda, has since been released, his father, Luis Manuel's whereabouts remain unknown.
Colombian police and military are working together in a bid to bring him home safely.
The official account of the Director General of the National Police of Colombia has offered $200million pesos (£39,983) to anyone who can help them find Diaz's father.
Liverpool released a statement on Sunday confirming the club were 'aware of an ongoing situation' concerning their player's parents, stating they were prioritising the star's welfare.
As a result, Diaz missed Liverpool's 3-0 win over Nottingham Forest on Sunday, with Jurgen Klopp describing it as 'a worrying situation' in his post-match press conference.
The Colombian star has the full support of the club and Liverpool squad, with Diogo Jota even paying tribute to him during his goal celebration against Steve Cooper's side at the weekend.
Klopp has made eight changes from the Sunday's win with Mohamed Salah, Dominik Szoboszlai and Kostas Tsimikas keeping their places.
Liverpool: Kelleher, Gomez, Matip, Quansah, Tsimikas, Endo, Elliott, Jones, Szoboszlai, Gakpo, Salah
Substitutes: Adrian, Van Dijk, Konate, Nunez, Mac Allister, Jota, Gravenberch, Scanlon, Alexander-Arnold
